Himalayan Experience : MANALI

Greatness of Mountains

To see the greatness of a mountain, one must keep one's distance, to understand its form, one must move around it, its moods, one must see it at dawn and the dusk, at noon and at the midnight, in sun and in the rain and in all other seasons. he who can see feel to the elements of life."
A series of Nature education camps are organised under the 'Back to nature movement' started by Lavkumar Khacher which provide unique experience of living close with nature in different outdoors. here is an invitation to spend ten days in Himalayas.

It is to introduce you to your parents : the Earth, the Wind, the Sky, the Sun and other life forms sharing space with you. Highly trained and disciplined instructors and friendly local guides will encourage you to test your strength against raging torrents, steep climbs, cold rocks and inviting snows. Rock Climbing, River Crossing, Adventure in the snow clad slopes, breathing fresh and crispy air in the gorgeous forests of Cedars, Spruce, Oak, Brich and Pine. The dedicated conservation program such as this blends the education and conservation in an unforgettable experience that will form a deep impression in your mind.

Summer are not to be at home feeling lazy and dizzy. Just get into yours rugged jeans, pack a small backpack and join us to explore the Himalayas in the glorious season.

The program includes treks to Panduropa.Jogini waterfall, Hidemba temple. The climbs include trek to the frozen Bhrigu lake (14000 ft.) overlooking the Bhrigu peak (14500 ft.), visiting Gulaba peak (12000 ft.)

Kindly Note : While all possible care will taken to provide good facility at he camp site to promote the real cause of the camping activity, the responsibility for the discipline and safety lies entirely with the participant, Organisers, instructors, are not responsible for any incident that may occur during the camp or the to and fro journey.

Thing To Carry : Wide brimmed hat/cap/scarf, dark sunglasses, hunter shoes, woolen/cotton shirts, T-shirts, socks, trouse/jeans, gloves, heavy pullover/sweater/jacket, towel, toilet accessories, swim wear shirts & tops, shorts, raincoat, ground spread, sleeping bag, special personal medicine if required, plate, mug, spoon, torch and water bottle. No disposal plate, mug or glass.


Note : (1) Hunter shoes should be large enough so that you can wriggle your toes with shocks on. Tight footwear gives blisters. (2) Do not bring any valuable to the camp. Binoculars and cameras to be brought on your own risk. (3) Transistors, walk-mans, tape recorders not allowed. (4) Participants should make their own arrangements of food during the traveling and stay in Delhi. (5) Medical facility in the form of first-aid will be available and best care of the participants will be taken. (6) Lady volunteers will be there to accompany female participants.

10th - 21st May, 2010.

20th - 31st May 2010

 Fees           : Rs. 8,000/- for members

                     Rs. 8,500/- for non-members

 Age limit    : 8 years and above
